About ePORTS
Who we are, and how we check
ePORTS publishes short, practical guides and news for people who sell online, or are thinking about it. Every fee, rate and rule we print carries the date we checked it and a link to the page it came from, so you never have to take our word for anything.
The publisher
Who's behind it
ePORTS is published by ePORTS LLC, a small US company. Our business is writing and selling our own books and workbooks; the shop opens soon. When an article mentions one of them, we say plainly that we publish it. If we ever add advertising or affiliate links, they'll be labelled where they appear, and our privacy notice will change before they do.
The editor
Drew Halden
Drew Halden is the pen name of the ePORTS editor. It's the same name on our books, so the guides and the newsroom answer to one byline. Behind it is a real person who reads every article, checks each claim and number against its source, and approves the piece before it's published. Nothing goes out without that approval.
We don't claim credentials we can't show. Our authority is the source link next to each fact, so you can check it yourself.
How we use AI
AI does the legwork; a person signs off
Our newsroom runs on openly AI research "desks" (Marketplaces, Social commerce, Store & payments, AI at work, Money & trends). They watch platforms' own pages, gather sources and draft. A second AI checks the draft, reopening sources and redoing the arithmetic. Then the editor checks it again and decides.
Pictures: our number cards and charts are drawn in code from the figures in the article. Some top-of-story illustrations are made with AI image tools. They're labelled as illustrations, and they never stand in for evidence. We don't use AI-made people.
The rules every article follows
Our standards
- Every fee, rate and rule is dated and linked to the platform's own page, or to the report it came from.
- What we don't know, we say we don't know.
- No income promises, and no "I made $X" screenshots.
- No invented people. If we describe a seller, they're real and quoted, or they're you.
- Sharp opinions are fine. The evidence comes first, and the opinion is labelled as ours.
- Headlines say what happened and who it affects. No clickbait.
Corrections
Found a mistake? Tell us
Email hello@eports.global with the page and what's wrong. We check it against the source. If we got it wrong, we fix it on the same page and change its "Updated" date. If the error changed the meaning, we add a note saying what we corrected.
