The fine print, in plain English
Privacy
The short version: the tools on this site run in your browser. They store nothing and send nothing. Below: what our web host logs when you visit, and the details we handle if you buy something, email us, or get a work email from us.
EffectiveAt a glance
Tools run on your device
The calculators do their sums inside your browser. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.
No accounts, no forms
Nothing to sign up for, and no box that asks for your email.
No tracking cookies
No advertising or analytics cookies. Nothing here follows you around the web.
Never sold
If you buy, we hold only what we need, and we never sell or share it for marketing.
In plain English
What happens when you use this site
The calculators and dashboards here — the pricing floor, the profit and margin tools, the allocation dashboard — do all of their arithmetic on your own device, inside your browser. The numbers you type are not sent anywhere, not saved between visits, and not seen by us. Close the tab and they are gone.
The worksheets and spreadsheets are ordinary files you download directly. Downloading one tells us nothing about you. Like any page, it is an ordinary request to our web host, which is covered below.
The specifics
Cookies, tracking, accounts and ads
- No accounts
- There is nothing to sign up for and no login on this site, so browsing it gives us no name, email or password.
- No tracking cookies
- The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Nothing here follows you around the web.
- "Do Not Track" signals
- Because this site does no tracking across other websites, it behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. If we ever add tracking, we will honor those signals and say so here first.
- No forms
- There is no contact form or newsletter box that collects your details on this site.
- No ads today
- These pages carry no advertising at present. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first to say exactly what an ad partner would collect, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
- What our web host logs
- This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit, GitHub logs and stores your device's network (IP) address for security purposes, whether or not you have a GitHub account. That is GitHub's processing, under GitHub's privacy statement, which governs what it keeps and for how long. ePORTS does not receive those logs, and does not use visitor data to identify you, build a profile, or track you across sites. The numbers you type into a calculator are never part of it: they stay on your device.
- Other companies, across sites
- We do not let other companies collect information about your activity on this site over time or across other websites. There are no ad or analytics partners. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it starts.
When we do hold your details
If you buy, or if we write to you
Who we are
ePORTS LLC A Wyoming limited liability company 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA Email: hello@eports.globalePORTS is run by ePORTS LLC, part of The Federation LLC group. We are the "controller" of the details below. We are based outside the UK and have not appointed a UK data protection representative, because our processing is occasional and low-risk (UK GDPR Article 27(2)). We will review that as sales grow, and name a representative here if we appoint one.
- Where your details go
- Details we hold are stored in the United States, where we are based. Payhip passes your purchase details to us there under its own terms. Besides Payhip, the only others who handle them are our payment provider (PayPal or Stripe), our email provider, and a professional adviser such as an accountant if we need one. We make no automated decisions about you and do no profiling.
- If you buy a book
- Checkout and the download are run by Payhip; under Payhip's end-user license, the download itself is supplied through Payhip Limited. Payment goes to our PayPal or Stripe account, and we never see your card details. Payhip sends us your name, email address, what you bought and when. We use that to help if a file fails, to honor our voluntary refund promise, and for our tax records. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests (support, refunds, and keeping the tax records we are required to keep). We keep those records for six years. Payhip's own privacy policy covers what Payhip holds.
- If we email you at work
- We sometimes write once to a named person at a limited company, at their work address, about a book relevant to their business. We use your name, work email and company, taken from where we say in that email (for example your company's website). Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in telling businesses about relevant products. After that single email we keep your name, work email and company for 24 months only so we do not email you again, then delete them. It is not a list for a second email. Reply "stop" and we delete them sooner, keeping only a short note for as long as we send marketing email, so we never contact you again.
- If you email us
- If you write to hello@eports.global, we get your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of what we agreed (for example a refund). Our email provider stores it. We keep the conversation for up to two years after it ends, then delete it, unless it is part of a purchase record we must keep for tax. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and keeping a record of correspondence and agreed actions.
- No selling or sharing
- We don't sell your details or pass them to anyone for their own marketing.
Your rights
If we hold details about you, you can ask us to…
- show you what we hold
- correct it
- delete it
- limit how we use it
- give you a copy to take elsewhere
- stop using it for our legitimate interests
- stop contacting you, any time, no reason needed
Asking isn't an automatic yes. We won't delete purchase records we must keep for tax (six years), or the short do-not-contact note that stops us emailing you again. A copy to take elsewhere applies where the law gives you that right. If we can't do what you ask, we'll tell you why.
Email hello@eports.global. If UK data protection law applies to you and you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Links out, and changes
A last few honest notes
Some pages link to other companies — a print provider, a selling platform, a spreadsheet you open in your own software. Once you follow a link, that company's own privacy terms apply, not this one.
Effective date: . If this notice changes in any material way, we post the new text on this page and change the effective date before the change takes effect. That posting is how we tell you. It covers any new kind of detail we collect, any new company we share with, and any longer retention period, and it always comes before analytics, advertising, a newsletter or any tracking goes live.
This is a plain-language notice, not legal advice.
