THE FOUR-PART DIAGNOSTIC — "why no sale?" From "Digital Products — Basics", chapter 11 ================================================================ "It's not selling" is not a diagnosis. It is four completely different problems wearing the same coat, and each has a different fix. Wasting a month on the wrong one is the real cost. Walk the funnel from the top and find the FIRST place it breaks — that is the only place worth working on. You need two weeks of your platform's own numbers first. Then answer in order, and STOP at the first "no". PART 1 · WERE YOU SEEN? (traffic) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Listing views in the last two weeks: ______ Almost none? -> This is a TRAFFIC problem. Nothing else matters yet; a perfect listing nobody sees sells nothing. Do not touch the product or the price. Run chapter 9 properly for another two weeks. Stop here. Real views? -> You were seen. Go to Part 2. PART 2 · DID THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARRIVE? (the aim) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Views, but no favorites and no messages at all? -> This is an AIM problem: the wrong people are arriving. Rewrite your chapter 1 sentence — the "who" and the problem in their words. Stop here. Some favorites or messages? -> Go to Part 3. PART 3 · DID THE LISTING CONVINCE THEM? (the listing) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Views and favorites, but no sales: the right people came and were not convinced. This is a LISTING problem (chapter 8): [ ] FIRST IMAGE — does it show the result, readable at thumbnail size? [ ] TITLE — does it use the words your buyer would actually search? [ ] PREVIEW — can they see enough inside to trust it will work? Fix the one that is most obviously weak, and give it two weeks. Stop here. PART 4 · DID THE SALE SURVIVE? (the product) ---------------------------------------------------------------- You are getting sales, then refunds. -> This is a PRODUCT problem. The buyer got it and it did not do the job, would not open, or was not what the listing implied. Re-run chapter 4's five-item finishing checklist on the file a real buyer receives. THE ONE LINE TO WRITE DOWN ---------------------------------------------------------------- "The first place it breaks is Part ____, because ____________________, and the one thing I will change is ____________________." That sentence is worth more than a month of guessing. ================================================================ Yours to keep — free, and no strings attached.
